To the Editor:
Several years ago Caledonia County had the privilege of being represented
by an outstanding Republican senator--Douglas Kitchel of Barnet.
He was sensible, smart and moderate.
Many Democrats voted enthusiastically for Doug. His mother had been
a legislator in Connecticut.
Senator Jane Kitchel is carrying on the Kitchel family political
tradition in a very responsible and competent manner. A talented
state employee for over 30 years, she was Secretary of the Human
Services Agency at the time of her retirement.
She has earned the votes of Republicans as well as Democrats in
November.
