Kitchel for Senate

Wednesday November 1, 2006

To the Editor:

I am writing to support the candidacy of Jane Kitchel for the Vermont Senate. I serve with Jane on the Justice for Children Task Force, a committee charged with the responsibility of reforming our laws and policy in order to offer better protection and services for children. Its members include, among others, the chief justice, secretary of human services, commissioner of DCF (SRS) and defender general.

Jane was appointed to this task force because of her vast experience and knowledge about government programs that serve children and their families. In working on this committee, it becomes obvious how much respect Jane has from people of all political persuasions and backgrounds.

Jane is very practical, she is not an ideologue. She has enough experience in government to anticipate the unintended consequences of any proposed legislation.

I trust Jane Kitchel to represent our interests and make our government work for the benefit of us all. Please join me in voting for Jane Kitchel on Nov. 7.
